Traditional methods are used in plum brandy production. As our ancestors did, they are nourishing the tradition according to which the good brandy is the one including the soul of the master as well. They have acquired the legal utilization of the PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT in 2012 for 2 products.

The “DávidVára Egyesület” Association’s main objective is the protection of cultural values from Șiclod / Siklód commune, through promotion of local cooperation, organization of cultural and artistic activities, protection of traditions, of cultural and ethnographic patrimony, as well as protection of the environment. Besides the rural tourism related activity, the association is dealing with collection, drying and wrapping of medicinal herbs. The recipes of the mixtures are inherited from parents and grandparents, and are used according to the recommendations of scientific literature. The Fenyőalja Tradition and Tourism Association was founded in 2011 and currently has 23 members. The company earned its right to use of PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT trademark for 20 meat products in 2014.

The main activity of the company is the production and sale of traditional, home-made meat products. The products are prepared according to old recipes from Upper Ciuc area, from excellent quality primary materials, using traditional and natural spices. The entrepreneurship got its right to use the PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT trademark for 7 meat products.

Attila Bálint processes milk from his own cow farm and prepares cheese products, especially matured cheese, soft-cheese and scalded cheese. Initially the company processed small milk cantities, then, after several vocational trainings, succeeded to process larger quantity as well. Due to the good quality and reliability, the consumers are satisfied with these products. The SZÉKELY TERMÉK/PRODUS SECUIESC/SEKLER PRODUKT trademark was approved for 4 products in 2013.

The business of Bálint family was registered in 2000, at first only with a single product, the Szekler chimney cake. Nowadays the number of produced handmade products is more than 10, which are based only on traditional Szekler kitchen. The main products are: Szekler chimney cake, ”vargabéles”, traditional boiled-baked pretzels, wasp nest cake, cheese scone, cumin pertzels and pie with sour cream and plum. The trademark SZÉKELY TERMÉK/PRODUS SECUIESC/SEKLER PRODUKT was approved for 7 products in 2012.

István Bálint's family company was started in the beginning of the 2000 years. The one and a half acre orchard is south placed, thet is why yhe fruits grown there are very tasty and full of vitamins. These fruits are used for producing jams without chemicals and sold in markets. These jams can be found with and without sugar. They received the common right to use the Szekler Product trademark in 2016 for twenty-five products.

Bomilact Mădăraș Ltd. was founded in 1993 in Mădăraș, situated 16 km away from Miercurea Ciuc. The main objective is to produce dairy products, which are meeting customers’ special needs, and to encourage the customers to healthy nutrition. Their right for use of PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT trademark was approved for 7 dairy products in 2012.

The Búzakalász Company was founded at the beginning of 2012, but the idea of a bakery established on traditional production methods was developed earlier. In this bakery traditional wood-fired ovens are used. Breads are made with natural leaven, without additives. The bakery products are home-made, stuffed with natural fruits and other kind of natural ingredients, assuring them a harmonious aroma. The company got its right to use the PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT trademark for 4 bakery product categories in 2013.

Mr. Ferenc Búzás bought his first beehives in 2002, that he increased every year, reaching gradually to 180 hives today. Since 2009, 50 beehives are in conversion period for accreditation as bio beekeeper. He got the right to use the PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT for 7 honey products in 2011.

The Country Bakery Prod Ltd. provides bakery products for Odorhei / Udvarhely microregion from Harghita county since 1995. Their products can be procured in more than 130 shops. Starting from 2008 their offer was diversified with confectionery products as well. The homemade bread with potato is prepared according to an old recipe from Dealu / Oroszhegy, Harghita county, with the use of local primary materials, with traditional methods, with natural leaven and in wood-fired ovens. The company got its right to use the PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT trademark for homemade bread in 2013.

The Csengő Farming Cooperative keeps all the regulations while manufacturing its products sold under the „Szépvízi” brand. In order to assure the product’s safety they operate a food protecting system, in the factories placed in Frumoasa and Cristuru Secuiesc. The inspectorial system runs continuously for every product. Every product is inspected if it fi ts the legal regulations and the data shown on the label. The analysis made under laboratory conditions searches for any physical, biological, chimical risk. They received the common right to use the SEKLER PRODUKT trademark in 2016 with twelve products.

Herbal teas, spices and healing pads from „SzentÁbrahámi” are the best quality handmade, luxury products in the Carpathians. Each tea bag and spice packet radiates life energy and health, because the herbs are grown in Szeklerland and the products are made by a Szekler family, that feels respect and love for nature and life. Herbs and teas are grown in the garden of one hectare around an old mansion in Avrămești. Mrs. Emese Csíki got the right to use the PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT for 5 products in 2014.

Tibor Dániel learnt the cheese-making secrets from his parents, who also were cattle breeders. He developed his skills through vocational trainings held by famous masters, kept the traditional characteristics and assured a better quality for their products as well. The SZÉKELY TERMÉK/PRODUS SECUIESC/SEKLER PRODUKT trademark was approved for 2 products in 2012.

The FITO-BAU Ltd. Company, being established in 2003, started its activity with dried medicinal plants and tincture preparation. Later the company switched its activity to making fruit brandies. It got the right to use the PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT trademark for 10 products in 2011

In Szeklerland collecting and processing forest fruits has a great tradition. Our region has great amount of such natural treasures. The collection and processing methods of these fruits were passed on from generation to generation. The Fitosic-Farm Ltd. prepares traditional jams, syrups and compotes based on traditional recipes and processing methods. The PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT trademark was approved for 11 products of the company.

Mónika Fodor, during her childhood, assisted her grandmother when she baked bread. At the moment she bakes the breads with the same passion, respecting her grandmother’s recipe, with own primary materials and leaven, in the wooden-fired oven. She got right to use the PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT trademark for homemade bread and for bread made of whole extraction spelt in 2013.

Gáll Erzsébet has started to prepare and sell syrups, jams and compots in 2002. She has processed fruits from her own garden, she has prepared her products from cherry, raspberry and blackcurrant. Her private enterprise was registered in 2005. During the years she started to enlarge her product scale, processing them from elderberry, mulberry, cranberries, bilberry, pine sprout, and pine cone as well. Nowadays, her products can be found on the shelves of inland and foreign supermarkets. She received the right to use the PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT for 26 products in 2010.

The Gordon Prod Ltd. started its activity in 1994 by producing smoked and unsmoked cheeses as well as with braided cheese. After several years the company produced also cream cheese and buttercream as well, under the name ‘Gordon’. After a little period of time these products got widely known by the people. Owned to the developing technique and the consumers’ satisfaction the capacity of the company constantly increased and the scale of products extended. Due to the quality and reliability of their products they were among the first companies on international markets. The company got its right to use the PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT trademark for 4 diary product categories in 2011, and for another 3 products in 2014.

The Harmopan Llb. disposes of more than 4 decades of experience in producing and selling quality flours and bakery products. The products of the company are made from natural and excellent raw materials without artificial additives. Besides the breads are made based on traditional recipe, and at the moment 180 types of bakery products are produced by the company. The scale of products is constantly expanding being in line with the consumers’ newer demands and also taking into consideration the Sekler traditional taste of more centuries. The company obtained the right of the use of the PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT trademark for 6 products in 2011 and for another 3 products in 2012.

INTERCOM Ltd company was established in Gheorgheni in 1994. A new area of activity was launched within the company in 2010 by making „Sekler Stuffed Cabbages”, an authentic product without any preservatives. Almost ninety percent of the production pocess is manual, ensuring further product quality. The company got the right to use the PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT trademark for „Sekler Stuffed Cabbage” product in 2011.

Interserv Molnár Ltd. bakes traditional house-bread from Lunca de Jos, as their grandmothers did. Their products contains simple ingredients: flour, potato, water and salt. Baker's yeast it's made from flour, potato and water does not contain additives and colourings. Each of the produced breads it's about 2 kg, but usually these are sold cut in half. If there is a need breads of 1 kg can be baked. They received the common right to use the Sekler Produkt trademark in 2015 with two products.

The Iolimex company was founded in 1992 whit private capital and dealing with food trade. After 6 years the company’s activity was extended with mustard and sauce producing facility. In 2010 the company launched its newest product, the „Ábel Sekler Mustard” that is based on a secret and unique recipe and received the right to use the PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT trademark in the same year.

The company was established in 2003 dealing exclusively with homemade bread production. The uniqueness of the house bread is given not only by the traditional raw materials and preparation technique but also by the fact that all members of the company’s staff are family members. They acquired the right by use the SZÉKELY TERMÉK/PRODUS SECUIESC/SEKLER PRODUKT trademark for the ‘homemade bread from Tușnad’ in 2012.

The Karpaten-Milk company was established in 2002 as a family business. In 2005 started its activity of milk processing in Valea Strâmbă/Tekerőpatak, locality situated at a distance of 4 km from Gheorgheni/Gyergyószentmiklós. Thanks to the successful activity and beloved quality products, the company started a small-scale production. The main activity is the production of matured cheeses, which are made of quality milk obtained from the farms of Gheorgheni/Gyergyó region. The company got the right to use of PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT trademark for 4 products in 2014. 


Her products are made based on old receipes from Mugeni / Bögöz, by traditional, hand-made methods with the use of forest fruits collected from natural environment. The blueberries, pine-buds and mulberries are collected from the forests of Harghita mountain, while the elder-berries are from Küküllő region. In order to keep the vitamins and content concentration, these products are made with cold-press method, pre-sugaring and less cooking. She received the right to use the SEKLER PRODUKT for 7 products in 2013.

Far from the noise of the settlement, there is a small farm inherited from his grandparents, where animals are breeded and the obtained milk is processed. His products, the soft cheese and matured cheese are prize-winners, and are known and appreciated not only by local consumers but also by the consumers from the national fairs. He got the right to use the PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT for 5 products in 2014.

The Kendyks Prod Ltd. was founded in 2005, its main activity was preparingfrozen and semi-prepared French fries. Since 2007 February in order to enlarge the scale of the products, the company started to deal with selling other kind of frozen products, like vegetables, fruit, poultry meat, venison, fish and plum dumpling. In 2012 the company started the production with own production unit and on their own site. Here they are producing: plum dumpling, cottage cheese dumpling, as well as plum ‘dumplig’ and cottage cheese ‘flat’. They have obtained the right of using the PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT trademark for 5 products in 2011.

Kozma V. Vilmos, individual entrepreneur, started his activity in 2011 and cultivates carrots, onions and potatoes. He extended the surface of cultivated areas and besides these crops, also cultivates parsley, red beet, beans and garlic.
 Mr. Kozma obtained the right to use the PRODUS SECUIESC/ SZÉKELY TERMÉK / SEKLER PRODUKT trademark for onions and carrot in 2013.

Lajos F. Ferenc gained his professional experience from his father. His family deals with beekeeping for generations. In 2004 participated in a professional training in beekeeping. At the moment he deals with 150 beehives and his method is strictly based on traditions. In 2012 his products were qualified as organic products. The trademark of PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT was approved for 6 products in 2010, and for another 6 products in 2013.

In 2014 the company established a craftsmanship brewery in cooperation with the skilled local brewers and specialists in food-engineering from Sapientia University of Transylvania of Miercurea Ciuc. The brewery produces two premium quality beers, the ‘Csíki sör’ and ‘Székely sör’. The alcoholic content of both beers is of 6%. The company uses exclusively natural primary materials, malt obtained from malting barley, hop and water. The water used for production is procured from the local wells of Sânsimion/Szentsimon. The company got its right to use the SEKLER PRODUKT trademark for both products in 2014.

Helyénvaló Local Shop is a local food hub built on a short food supply chain, located in the heart of Odorheiu Secuiesc. Our mission is to connect small-scale local producers with customers, making it easier for traditional local products to find their way from the producer to the table. As a social enterprise, we work to strengthen the local economy, support the sustainability of small producers, and preserve the region’s gastronomic heritage. Helyénvaló was envisioned and is operated by the Civitas Foundation for Civil Society.

The Majett – Coz company from city of Vlăhiţa is a company that lauched its activity as a family entrepreneurship. Since then they participate in fairs, different celebrations of cities and villages where they sells and presents the preparation of traditional chimney cake made on wooden jar. The company got its right to use the PRODUS SECUIESC/SZÉKELY TERMÉK/SEKLER PRODUKT trademark for chimney cake in 2011.
