The Golden Eagle is one of the greatest and also the rearest prey species of the Carpathian Mountains. Local ornithology experts estimate its population to be only 90-150 pairs in Romania. The best chances to watch and photograph this timid eagle species in the wild is from at feeding site. Our eagle photography hide in the Eastern Carpathians is close to Odorheiu Secuiesc where 3 different Golden Eagles have been feeding on baits on the best days. The winter feeding has been regular here from the year 2016, and the eagles have got to used to coming to this site, especially wintertime after a really cold period when the weather gets slightly warmer. Other species possible to photograph from the Eagle hide are Raven, Magpie, Deer, Fox and Boar.  Golden Eagle photography is for serious photographers, because one needs to be prepared to spend a full day in the photo hide. The best time to photograph Golden Eagles in the Eastern Carpathians is midwinter, from end of December until February when the shortish winter days and cold weather force the birds to visit feeding sites actively.  Our photo hide has heating and good quality glass windows, while the birds can be spotted about 25 m from the hide. When photographing you need to enter the hides an hour before sunrise and you can leave the hide, depending on the eagles activity, as your guide instructs.

The Harghita Community Development Association (ADI Harghita) was founded in 2009 at the initiative of the Harghita County Council and with the support of 45 local administrations. The goal of ADI Harghita is to create and maintain long-term cooperations with the county’s local administrations and organizations working in the field of tourism, carrying out national and international projects, the purpose of which is to improve tourism, as well as maintain culture and the environment. At the same time, the association’s goal is also to protect the environment, popularize the county’s tourism, as well as launching services pertaining to the development of these. Turbulencia Aeroclub is a sports club in Miercurea Ciuc, founded by mountain and flight enthusiasts. Club members use non-motorized and motorized devices. The main field of activity is paragliding and mountain hiking. The club has 43 active members, 2 examiner instructors, 1 tandem pilot. The club organizes paragliding courses, paragliding and deltaplan festivals and competitions, demonstration flights with passengers (paragliding flight) in Miercurea Ciuc. The club's instructors have over 17 years of experience gained at national and international competitions. The record of the competition's riders in the club is impressive, with more than 100 seats on the prize-winning podium.

The Development Agency of Harghita County was established based on County Council Decision no. 322/2015, with headquarters in Miercurea Ciuc. The main objective of the Agency is to contribute, through its activities and elaborated programs, to the development of the county, and, if required, to the organization of professional background-work related to the activity of the Council. According to County Council Decision no. 131/2016, the Agency can have one office in the following municipalities: Odorheiu Secuiesc, Gheorgheni and Toplita, so that the activities cover all the micro-regions of the county. The Agency is an open institution in development which, through its promoter and mediator role, helps local initiatives to materialize, collaborates with relevant agents in a well-balanced developmental process of the county, and if needed, contributes to the concentration of national and international resources oriented on the region's development, as well as to the improvement of the efficiency of local investments. The Agency's programs are meant to help Harghita county become a more entrepreneur-friendly region, to stimulate applications for external funds, support investments and innovations in the region, to stimulate the spirit of entrepreneurship and the creation of new jobs, the realization of plans which cover the whole region, and finally, to offer useful information on developing enterprises. The Agency's employees are motivated, mostly young economists, who use free and open-source software (Linux, LibreOffice, Drupal, etc.), based on the principle of cost-efficient work.

Activitatea Agenției Naționale a Zonei Montane este reglementată prin Hotărârea Guvernului nr. 1036/2018 pentru organizarea și funcționarea Agenției Naționale a Zonei Montane prin reorganizarea Agenției Zonei Montane, precum și pentru stabilirea unor măsuri privind centrele regionale și oficiile de dezvoltare montană. Agenția Națională a Zonei Montane este prezentă în teritoriul național prin structuri funcționale, organizate în rețeaua de centre regionale de dezvoltare montană și oficii de dezvoltare montană, începând cu anul 2019.

The primary goal of the competition is to promote the cultured consumption of distillates and pálinka in Transylvania, with a special focus on centuries-old traditions and modern quality standards. Participants receive detailed feedback on the sensory characteristics of their submitted samples, provided by highly experienced international judges. The competition also aims to support the business category by enhancing marketing tools and commercial opportunities, while encouraging high-quality production among individual participants. CATEGORIES: • Business category: Open to commercial enterprises that produce or distribute distillates/pálinka. • Individual category: Open to private distillers or individuals who have their distillates produced at a contract distillery. The competition is held every May.

Both the phrase and the activity come from the Dolomites in Italy. Safe climbing requires technical equipment: harness, shock-absorbing bridle, helmet and gloves. In the Red Lake tourist destination there is only one such built-in iron climbing road, which bears the name of Wild Ferenc, and is built on the south-western side of the Suhardul Mic/Kis-Cohárd. Its total length is 200 meters and the level difference is 170 meters. Nearby there is another such ironed climbing path in the Munticelu/Munticseli nature reserve called Astragalus with a total length of 700 meters, divided into 5 climbing paths and the level difference of the main route is 285 meters. Participation requirements: minimum height 1.6 meters and minimum weight 40 kilograms (below 40 kilograms, the shock-absorbing bridle is not activated). In these programs we provide: seat belt, shock-absorbing bridle, safety helmet, guide (cave rescue specialist). The program can be held from April to November, depending on weather conditions.   Before each tour, participants complete a declaration of their own responsibility and we recommend accident insurance. In the early nineties, the number of Pentecostal pilgrims increased significantly in Csíksomlyó/Șumuleu Ciuc. The church and the surrounding area could no longer accommodate hundred thousands of pilgrims. According to the ancient tradition, the Pentecost celebration included a procession on the hill of Kissomlyó, which is why the new altar was settled on the saddle between the Nagysomlyó and Kissomlyó mountains. The so-called "triple hill" altar was designed by Imre Makovecz in 1996, following the request of Father Albert Bartók, the Franciscan householder. According to Makovecz, the Father clearly and precisely described the conception: a triple hill with a double cross to make an altar. He was assisted now and in later modifications by Ernő Bogos, an architect in Miercurea Ciuc, who took a significant role in the planning and construction work. The “Hármashalom” (“Triple hill”), which served as a model for the altar, is a heraldic element that appeared in the coat of arms of Hungary in the 13th century, and while it originally symbolized the three hills of the Golgota, later became the symbol of the former Hungary’s three highest mountains, Mátra, Tátra and Fátra. The altar was inaugurated on 24 November 1996, at the Feast of Christ the King. Today it hosts the annual Pentecostal celebration, the Day of the Thousand Szekler Girls and many other events. On 1st of June 2019, Pope Francis I celebrated Holy Mass at the “Hármashalom” Altar and has given the Golden Rose in honour of the Virgin Mary.
