The competition also aims to support the business category by enhancing marketing tools and commercial opportunities, while encouraging high-quality production among individual participants.

A tradition built around the making of sausages. Pig slaughter, fair, folk dance and handicraft activities. This is what the Sausage Festival in Nicolești/Csíkszentmiklós is all about. The biggest gastronomic event in the Ciuc/Csíki Basin, which is attended year after year by our friends from Hungary, Slovakia and Romania. Because spending time together is the best, every year!

In 2001, when this event was organized for the first time, it seemed to be a simple gastronomic contest in which only potato stew boiled in most of the competing teams’ pots. Over the years, however, this event has evolved into a true scene for all sorts of potato delicacies, but also an opportunity for community interaction.
The participants take their role very seriously, turning every year a banal potato dish into a sophisticated and varied menu with different flavors, bringing the jury and the tasting audience to work.
The festival is organized annually in the Central Park in Miercurea Ciuc and gathers potato lovers from all over the country and abroad. In addition to potato delights, the festival has a dedicated program for young people, creative and craft workshops, popular dances and other beloved community activities.

Every summer, the Pancake Festival is held in Ocna de Sus/Felsősófalva, organized by the Kodáros Association.
Visitors can taste the most delicious pancakes, while the organizers also offer a variety of programs, concerts, and fun activities.
The idea came from the Kodáros Association, who first organized Pancake Day in 2015. Due to its success, it expanded into a full festival by 2016.
Attendance is free and the event offers fun and entertainment for all ages.

The most significant annual event in Siculeni/Madéfalva is the Onion Festival. The aim of the festival is to entertain the audience with colorful and interesting programs for several days. Festival visitors are expected with cultural, traditional and gastronomic programs, as well as sports events and children's programs.

Each year in July, early music sounds in Miercurea Ciuc. During a whole week, early music concerts are given by musicians from our country and abroad, in the Mikó Castle and in various locations of our town.
The idea of the Early Music Festival was formulated in 1979 in the memory of Kájoni János, and was established in 1980 by the Barozda and the Kájoni Ensembles.
In 1986 the Festival was forbidden by the authorities, and it was renewed only after the change of the regime, this time with international perception.
The representatives of early music give general and master courses for the young artists, who wish to enlarge their knowledge in playing early music.

A lot of teams, whose biggest desire is to show to the world their cooking skills, are gathering together for this festival in each year. Goat milk lavender soup, lavender syrup, lavender strawberry jam, fragrant bouquets and pillows can be bought by those who visit Cechești/Csekefalva during the festival.
The homely atmosphere and the special event was created by the local Unitarian pastor to introduce the versatile use and beneficial effects of the fragrant, purple flower. Those interested can visit the lavender plantation, take photos of themselves or take part in various activities.

The three-day event linked to Odorheiu Secuiesc/Székelyudvarhely has important historical roots: its four editions held between 1970 and 1973 are rightly considered the cradle of Hungarian popular music in Romania. Last year, the talent competition was revived, and this year it returns with an expanded program aimed at young musicians. The Odorheiu Secuiesc/Székelyudvarhely Heritage Resource Center and the Youth Coordination Council aim to create a platform for young musicians to showcase their talent and to promote the performance of Hungarian songs through the organization of this Transylvanian Hungarian popular music festival.

According to the traditions, each year at the second weekend of October is organized the Famous Cabbage Fair and Festival in Lăzarea/Szárhegy. The main purpose of this festival is to present our traditions and traditional products to a wider audience, at the same time to provide a various cultural and entertaining program for the locals and tourists. Those who attend the festival will be able to participate in the traditional cabbage harvest (by horse carriage and live music), traditional product’s market, folk dance show, cabbage meal cooking competition, exhibitions and lectures, competition ad contest for kids and concerts at the evening. The Bálványos Free Summer University and Student Camp, more commonly known as Tusványos is a large-scale intellectual workshop of the Carpathian Basin held annually in Băile Tușnad/Tusnádfürdő, Romania which originally intended to promote cross-border cooperation, Romanian-Hungarian dialogue and cultural Hungarian-Hungarian political exchange. Besides the political and public themes, there is also the opportunity to relax and have fun, participate in sporting and cultural events or visit concerts.
Entrance to the camp is free of charge every day until 16:00. The armband received before 16 o'clock is valid after 16:00. Those who arrive after 16 o'clock pay 20 LEI, students or those over 65 years old have discount, for them the entrancee fee is 10 LEI discount. Tickets after 16:00 can be purchased at the camp reception or at the checkpoints. You can do this only in cash (LEI)! There is an ATM in the Băile Tușnad area, if you have not exchanged Romanian currency until then, you can do this here. And if you run out of cash at the camp, there will be a working ATM.
