A race you simply can’t miss! The Running Festival Miercurea Ciuc routes are designed so that with every step, you discover the most beautiful sides of the city and its surroundings! At the start, the vibrant city center gets your heart racing, then you pass by the monumental Márton Áron High School — a true historical gem from the early 1900s. From there, it’s off to nature: through Csíkpálfalva and Delne, where the iconic Egyes-kő (Solitary Rock) greets you from afar as you run. And just when you think you’ve reached the highlight — the magical panorama of Nagysomlyó Hill awaits you through Csomortán. Returning to the city, you’ll dash past the legendary Pilgrimage Church of Csíksomlyó, visited by hundreds of thousands of pilgrims each year — including Pope Francis himself in 2019. Here you can also see the Golden Rose, personally gifted by him! Back in town, you’ll run past the Renaissance-style Mikó Castle and the home of the famous Csíkszereda hockey team, the Vákár Lajos Ice Rink — because here, every step tells a story. Trail runners won’t miss out either: the enchanting forest paths of Csíksomlyó and the area around the Hármashalom Altar offer unforgettable challenges and breathtaking views. What is Run for IT! Gheorgheni? Run for IT! Gheorgheni is a fundraising programme that promotes physical activity, healthy lifestyle and active community involvement, and helps to raise funds for community initiatives of NGOs. The community projects entered in the programme are aimed at the development of the region of Miercurea Ciuc/Csíkszereda.

Run for IT! Odorhei is a sports event-based fundraising programme that supports NGO community initiatives and helps raise the funds needed to implement them. NGOs, ambassadors, individuals, businesses and volunteers are involved. The highlight of the programme is a sports event, a joint run/walk and bike race. The success of the programme lies in large-scale mobilisation and involvement based on personal contacts and their networks. In this way, the common message and ambition will be heard.

The Nagy Ferenc Memorial International Cup is a prestigious table tennis competition held in Odorheiu Secuiesc. The event aims to honor and remember Nagy Ferenc, the former president of the Odorheiu Secuiesc Table Tennis Club and former head of the table tennis department at the Odorheiu Secuiesc School Sports Club. Nagy Ferenc's life work was instrumental in establishing the foundations of local table tennis, making Odorheiu Secuiesc indisputably one of Romania's leading table tennis centers. In his memory, the sports facility next to the stadium has been named Nagy Ferenc Training Hall since December 2021. The three-day competition will be held from August 16 to 18, 2024, at the Sports Hall. The event will feature youth individual competitions and family team competitions. In the youth categories, boys and girls born between 2009 and 2015 can compete, while the family team competitions are open to children born between 2006 and 2012 and their parents. In the youth individual competitions, players will first compete in groups, and the best will advance to the knockout stage. The aim of these competitions is not only to measure sports performance but also to build community and strengthen friendships. The family team competitions offer a special opportunity for families to enjoy sports together and create unforgettable memories. Participants and winners of the competition will receive trophies, medals, and sports gifts, and each player will also receive a special gift from the organizers. The official sponsor of the event is Butterfly, which provides high-quality sports equipment for the competition. Several nearby airports are available for participants, and the organizers also provide transfer services to facilitate travel. The venue offers excellent opportunities for athletes and their families to enjoy the competition and community programs in a beautiful environment. We consider one of our main tasks the spreading and popularizing of our traditions among youth. Members of our company assist and teach several children’s, youth and adult folk dance groups. As hosts of Csűrdöngölő – children’s and youth folk dance assembly we have created and offer consistently the possibility for the meeting and presentation of young folk dancers, usually twice every year.

The aim of the "KÖZpont" Family Festival is not only to build community as a way of life, but its spiritual value and importance is the preservation and transmission of Hungarian music, musical instruments and traditions. In addition to the ensembles from Transylvania, Odorheiu Secuiesc/Székelyudvarhely and Hungary, we try to attract programme leaders, craftsmen and artisans who, in addition to their performances, pass on their professional secrets, experiences and feelings in some form or other in the form of workshops. In the Living Library we can meet folk musicians, puppeteers, horsemen, seamstresses, woodcarvers, basket weavers, embroiderers and many other craftsmen who can give us an insight into their daily lives.  The festival is held every August. 

The Saint Gellért Cross is a special trail running event organized in the beautiful natural surroundings of Ditrău/Ditró. Participants can choose from several distances – from the 8 km Cross to the 41 km Marathon, starting from age 4 – offering challenges for all age groups and fitness levels. The event is not only a chance to compete and test your endurance but also a great opportunity to set an example for others, build sports friendships, and promote a healthy lifestyle. During the run, you’ll discover the natural and cultural treasures of Ditrău/Ditró while supporting the organizers in creating similar sporting events in the future.

The first all-round arts, culture and music festival organised in the entire Gheorgheni/Gyergyó Basin. The festival is held every August.

Cseperedok family fastival offers 3 days of family fun. You can spend quality time together and have fun in a "familiar" family style. In the program you will find entertainment for children of all ages: craft workshops, sport activities, entertainments, games, puppet and music shows, concerts for kids and adults, folk dance, fairy tale adventure path, presentations and workshops for adults. We welcome all families with children between 0-12 years to take part in the experience of Cseperedők Family Festival. The festival is held every July.
