Program description: Visiting the artisan workshops with a horse-drawn carriage tour. We wander around the 4 workshops with comfortable covered horse-drawn carriages: tinder (amadou) fungus processing workshop, pottery workshop, traditional weaver and the beekeeper. Glide through the fairytale winter landscape of the Gyimes hills in a horse-drawn sleigh and enjoy a wide view of the gorgeous scenery around! Our path for the sleigh ride goes through the forests and hills of the Gyimes Valley and none of those places visited during the tour are accessible by car, so it’s just you, horses and snow. There are some slower bits where you can enjoy the views and also some faster ones, where horses gallop and you need to hold tight to not to fall off the sledges on the turns. It’s so much fun! Our horses are local breds, used to mountain terrain, very friendly and patient, and look very cute. We also organize rides in the night which makes the experience really special. The tours depart daily at 10:00, 14:00 and 18:00 (the evening tour) from the front of the church of Bükkhavaspataka (Poiana Fagului in Romanian) located in the village of Lunca de Jos, 50 km drive from Miercurea Ciuc.  In order to assure optimal circumstances for organizing this tour, please send your request to book or contact us at least one day prior the chosen date. 📷 Fodor István

Discover the beauty of nature on horseback or by cart! The Paták és Mancsok Association warmly welcomes all nature and animal lovers with a variety of programs. What we offer: • Trail riding and cart tours – We organize half-hour, several-hour, or even full-day tours upon request. Our full-day tours are made unforgettable with a cozy visit to a local sheepfold. The route is tailored to the needs of the group when booking the program. For trail riding, the maximum group size is 8 persons. • Pony rides and farm experiences – Even the youngest visitors can try horse riding in a safe environment and discover the daily life of a farm on the association’s property. Advance booking is required! Please reserve your spot at least 3–4 days in advance to ensure availability.
