About
This year, all early music events are dedicated to the legacy of Johann Sebastian Bach, as the world celebrates the 340th anniversary of his birth and the 275th anniversary of his death. The theme of the Early Music Festival in Miercurea Ciuc/Csíkszereda is also centered around Bach’s works and the era he lived in.
Miercurea Ciuc/Csíkszereda is a home for both local and European early music performers, and the festival serves as a true gathering for early music enthusiasts. Over 9 days, 250 performers, 14 concerts, and various side events offer a rich cultural experience for all attendees.
Running parallel to the festival is the Early Music Summer Academy, featuring 9 masterclasses.
