In the valley of the Goagiu River, near the Târnava Mare River, in the days of the Crusades, some knights built a dwelling. At first it was only a resting place, after which some houses were also built, and then a whole village rose. This is the present-day city Cristuru Secuiesc.

The Székelytámadt fortress was built by the prince John Sigismund after he defeated the Szeklers' rebellion. There was a monastery on the site of the fortress, but the Catholic monks were banished by the Protestant ruler.

Giants lived in the triple fortress, Haromvár. A young giant took a man into the fortress, but his father ordered him to take him back, because the time would come when men would reign over the earth. A dragon lived around and kidnapped the daughter of the lord of the fortress.
