Program path: Piatra Niergeș - Ridge of the Ciuc/Csíki Mountains - Úz Valley - Aklos Military Cemetery - Aklos War Ground - Tulgheș/Tölgyes Strait - Arch of Duke Joseph - King Matthias Fortress - Kászoni Basin - return home   Program: • At 8:30 we will meet at the historical café at Piatra Niergeș (Nyergestető) • At 9:00 am a local history presentation, (an unusual history lesson at the site of the Battle of Piatra Niergeș and in the cemetery of the heroes who fell here). After paying our respects in front of the Szekler heroes who fell on the Saddle, we take our place in the off-road vehicles and embark on the 12o km in front of us, which consists mostly of mountain, forest and military roads. • 10:00 Departure on the ridge of the Ciuc/Csíki Mountains. We stop on the ridge of the Ciuc/Csíki Mountains and hold a geographical and hiking tour. • Moving towards the Úz Valley War Ground, we set off for two small mountain settlements, gaining insight into the Csinódi Csángó farm world and the everyday lives of the people living here isolated from the world. • We relax nicely, ten o'clock. It will be possible to refresh (beer, wine, soft drinks, everyone from the local shop at their own discretion). • After that, we turn to the Úz Valley War Route. Lunch militarily on the banks of the river Úz (bacon, sausages, etc.) after a short rest. • Úz valley battlefield: Hungarian barracks built in the 1940s, one of the largest war cemeteries in Transylvania during the First and Second World Wars (commemoration, wreath-laying). After visiting the Military Chapel, introducing the Úz border crossing of historical Hungary. • On the way back we cross the Depresiunea Plăieși and we reach the Piatra Niergeș among the Depresiunea Plăieși. Piatra Niergeș - Úz Valley Historical Memorial Tour Length back there is more than 120 km on forest and military roads. The duration of the tour may vary depending on the weather. During our tour, they are constantly provided with on-site information and historical information. Our aim is to impress the visitor with the beauty of the landscape around Odorheiu Secuiesc/Székelyudvarhely on a Quad/ATV with a tour guide. Our destinations can be easily accessed through the forest, pastures, gravel roads, but easily accessible to anyone with our automatic transmission Quad/ATV. Our tour is a guided tour, which means we visit beautiful, breathtaking places/lookouts on a relatively easy terrain following the tour guide. During our tours, you can fully relax and enjoy a guaranteed experience. The tour starts from Forțeni/Farcád, 4 km from Odorheiu Secuiesc/Székelyudvarhely. We begin with a few minutes of safety briefing, then introduce you to ATV operation and get used to drive it on a road. Booking required!

We are heading towards Erdőfüle, touching the smoky bath of Szentimrei, the Black Desert, the Kormos creek and Szelters. The Defile of Vargyas approached from Almas on the road called Wolf, where we will have lunch. This followed by a walk of about 1.5 kilometres along the mountain path that leads to the mouth of the Almási Cave. Nyergestető is located in the southern part of the Csík Basin southwest of Kászonújfalu and southeast of Csíkkozmás at 875 m above sea level. The most famous memorial pillar of the Csíki Mountains, memory of one of the last battles of the 1848-49 Hungarian Revolution and the War of Independence (Szabadságharc), is a perennial symbol of patriotism. The nearby forest is not only the cemetery of the fallen soldiers from the 1849s, but also the final resting place of the victims of the Turkish-Tatar invasions in 1550 and 1660. In addition to the historical information, visitors can get a taste of the material and written memories of the 1848-49 Hungarian War of Independence, as a part of József Szanka’s private collection is exhibited in the Café. The geographical location of our guesthouse, the silence of the forest and the rich air swirling through the pines all all contribute to a relaxed rest. Accommodation can be provided in four three-bed rooms for 12 people. Our rooms have separate baths and toilets. Two rooms have a French bed and 1 bed and a panoramic terrace overlooking the valley of Kászon, and the other two rooms have three single beds each. In spite of the forest context, there is also Internet access and a TV. Our guests can use the kitchen of our guesthouse, the garden grill. We provide breakfast, half board or full board at an extra charge. Our revolutionary cafe can accommodate 25 people comfortably, and the terrace can accommodate up to 51 people. Our demanding musical repertoire encompasses the style of folk and patriotic rock music, recalling the historical events of old times. Our food supply is based mainly on the needs of the Székely people. In addition to grilled dishes, we serve single-course meals in a pot. For our pre-booked guests we will serve a multi-course menu based on previous consultation.
