Vákár Lajos ice skating rink

Miercurea Ciuc is the country of winter sports. The hockey team is also renowned abroad, and the "Vákár Lajos" covered skating rink has become the symbol of the city, and it is used throughout the year.

Here were organized several world championships, in the stands there are almost 2000 seats. The group of statues in front of the skating rink is the work of sculptor Tőrös Gábor. Behind the building is an outdoors skating rink, used only in winter.
