Borsec/Borszék is very rich in herbs. We can find them in all seasons. The purpose of the tour is twofold: to introduce as many herbs as possible, and to collect as many of them as possible. Program description: The tour begins in Borsec/Borszék. We walk around the bunkers along the Bor (wine) Creek, then we arrive the Pierre Curie Spring, and go up to the bunker at Owl Castle, recalling the events of World War II. At the double cross at Owl Castle, we pay our respects to the fallen heroes, and after a short rest we return to the city. Program description: The Borsec/Borszék’s ecosystem is very diverse. The flora is very original. Butterflies cover the flowers that live here. It is worth visiting our parks: the Deák Square English Park, the Millennium Park, the Memorial Park in Alsóborszék. In the “Natura 2000” environmental protection area, next to the abundance of herbs, you can see the meadow fan grass. In spring and early summer, we can see spotted salamanders and goat frogs in the ditch next to the promenade leading to the Ancient Spring. In the area of ​​the mine we can see a nimble lizard and a cross viper. The typical tree of the city is pine, but also rich in beech. Here you can observe the birdlife. All seasons shed edible mushrooms. Route: Tourist information office – Kerekszék – Ice Cave – Bear Cave – stalactite cave – quarries – waterfalls   Program description: Limestone tuff in Kerekszék with plant remains: maple, ash willow, goat willow, sage willow, ash alder, spruce, beech, hazelnut, blackberry), Teleki- and Széchenyi rocks, Hell's throat, caves: Ice Cave, Bear Cave, Stalactite Cave, Mineral Water Cave. Those who are interested in geology will be taken to the talk mine next to the campsites. From here we walk to the Kerekszék, where we see the two most visited caves (Ice and Bear Cave.) With the appropriate caveman equipment and practice, we also visit the Mineral Water and Stalactite Caves. It is worth visiting the quarries: limestone and travertine (limestone tuff). We also have two waterfalls worth seeing: one is on the Kupás Stream, the other is under the Viaduct. Program description: In the glory days of the city, only aristocrats could afford to vacation in Borsec/Borszék. The remaining guest lists retained the names of counts, barons, high-ranking military officers, wealthy merchants, and ministerial officials. The tour takes place in the form of a walk. In the meantime, on the archaic promenades and squares of the city, we tell about the bygone ages, customs, musical evenings, the pedestrian streets lit by torches, the brass band that blew the alarm every morning at 6 o'clock. About the atmosphere provided by the gypsy musicians that were present in every restaurant. We try to create a mood of nostalgia. Route: Belvedere Villa - Kamenitzky House – Mélik Hotel – Hope building – Soós Café and Hotel – Lázár family’s House (Amber)    Program description: The most valuable buildings of Borsec/Borszék were built during the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. Unfortunately, little has survived to this day. We present these. Most of the villas were built between the two world wars, number 64. Route: Tourist information office – Ó-Sáros Spa – Spa and Wellness Center – Sunbath – The Fairy Glade   Program description: We describe the magical healings, e.g. in 1594, Zsigmond Báthory bathed in the water of the Lobogó (flag) Spring in Borsec/Borszék, curing his gout. We are talking about the Central Pavilion, where there was a mineral water pool and 50 tubs to serve the guests. There were rooms upstairs for the more serious patients. We walk to the Ó-Sáros Spa, where we describe the treatments that can be performed here: • spa in 32 ° C mineral water • sauna, then cooling off in the cold pool • salt chamber testing (treatment of upper respiratory diseases) • therapeutic massage We walk to the new Spa and Wellness Center, which is under construction. We will see the Sunbath, then walk through the Fairy Glade, where you can take a dip in the small mineral water pool.
