XIII. Sausage Festival of Nicolești/Csíkszentmiklós

Fragrant smoke, spices, tradition, and good cheer – the Nicolești/Csíkszentmiklós Sausage Festival is back once again!
At the heart of the event is the team sausage-making competition, complemented by all-day programs, live music, folk dancing, local flavors, and family-friendly activities. The goal of the festival is to preserve traditions and showcase Székely gastronomic values in a cheerful and welcoming atmosphere.

Whether it’s competing, tasting, or simply enjoying a cozy winter gathering, the festival offers an unforgettable experience for all ages. Come with friends and family, and let’s celebrate Székely flavors and traditions together!

09:00 – Pig slaughter (two traditional methods)
 Start of the sausage-stuffing competition

09:30 – Stuffing 150 meters of sausage – joint presentation by Deliz and Lanka Gastro Fest

10:30 – Official opening

11:00 – Performance by the folk dance group of Frumoasa/Szépvíz

12:00 – Performance by Táncoló Talpak (Csíktaploca)
 and the Vadrózsa Folk Dance Ensemble from Sântimbru-Băi/Csíkszentkirály

12:30 – Brassói Bokréta Folk Dance Ensemble
 Choreography by dance master Attila Onodi
 Ördöngösfüzes and Csík verbunk dances

13:00 – Performance by the Csíki Reménység Choir

15:00 – Award ceremony of the sausage-stuffing competition, raffle draw
