WILD FERENC | SUHARDUL MIC

We are heading back to the Hășmaș Mountains, but this time we will climb Suhardul Mic Peak via the Wild Ferenc via ferrata route. The via ferrata, named after Wild Ferenc, was opened in autumn 2016. It was named after a pioneer of mountaineering in Transylvania, who was also a co-founder of the Gheorgheni Mountain Rescue Service. He was also responsible for the only topographical survey of the Bicaz Gorge. The route was built by the Dancurás Mountain Rescue Team from Gheorgheni.
