7th Siculeni/Madéfalva Harghita Hike – “Siculicidium Memorial Hike”

The hike is organized in line with the mission of the Hazajáró Local History and Hiking Association, in partnership with the Municipality of Madéfalva and the Harghita County branches of the Transylvanian Carpathian Association (EKE).

This year marks the 7th edition of the Madéfalva Harghita Hike. Our long-term goal is to combine historical remembrance with a shared hiking and community experience, creating a winter meeting point for Hungarians of the Carpathian Basin, suitable for families as well.

Date: January 23–25, 2026
Main hike: Saturday, approx. 15 km, 530 m elevation gain
Highlights: lecture evening, memorial hike, evaluation gathering, Holy Mass and commemoration
Registration fee: 25 RON / 2000 HUF (free under 14)
