Iris at Taste of Transylvania 2025

When you say Iris – Cristi Minculescu, Valter Popa, and Boro, the entire history of Romanian rock music stands before you. These are three artists who have been beloved across generations and need no formal introduction. In 2017, they were joined—almost as if by fate—by drummer Mihai Dumitrescu.

Just hearing songs like Floare de Iris, Strada ta, Baby, or Somn bizar makes you start humming along—they’ve become anthems for us all. And they can only be truly brought to life through the voices, strings, and emotions of those who created them.

Cristi Minculescu, Valter, and Boro have been keeping the Iris spirit alive for over 40 years. Whenever they take the stage, thousands of fans sing with them. Their repertoire has become part of Romania’s national rock heritage, the living soundtrack of three generations' memories.
