About

The Center of Traditional Culture-Preservation Harghita County will once again organize the Folk House Week in 2025, in collaboration with the leaders of folk museums in the county.

Between June 2 and 9, participating open-air museums and ethnographic collections will open their doors free of charge to the general public. Throughout the week, museum administrators will present local collections in an organized manner and will enrich the event with cultural programs: traditional craft demonstrations, creative workshops, exhibition openings, folk games for children, folk song performances, traditional dance events, and gastronomic presentations.

Through this program, we aim to highlight local values, promoting open-air museums and collections among the residents of Harghita County and visitors to the Szeklerland during the Pentecost period.

This year, visitors are expected at 15 locations across the regions of Ciuc/Csík, Cașin/Kászon, Gheorgheni/Gyergyó, and Odorhei/Udvarhely.
