"Csűrdöngölő" Children and Youth Folk Dance Assembly

The “Csűrdöngölő” Children's and Youth Folk Dance Gathering is part of that widely cherished dance culture which represents living tradition – a system of inherited forms and movements that touches not only the body, but also the soul. Within it live the rhythms, joys, and struggles of our ancestors – the identity of a community expressed through movement.

“Csűrdöngölő” has preserved its traditions for many years – this year marks the 37th edition – organized by the András Foundation and the Hargita Ensemble, who believe that folk dance and traditional culture are valuable investments in the future.

We warmly welcome everyone to the celebration of children's and youth folk dance groups on June 5, starting at 11:00 AM, at Liberty Square (Szabadság tér)!

The great group dance will take place at 3:00 PM.
Before and after, stage performances by folk dance groups from the regions of Csík, Kászon, Gyergyó, and Moldavia will be presented between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
