There have already been folk dance houses lasting until dawn, and there have also been music and dance festivities. But what happens when the dancing doesn’t last only from evening until dawn, but continues non-stop from one evening to the next – or even longer – while the lively folk music keeps playing?

The Sândominic/Csíkszentdomokos Folkmaraton is not an attempt to break a record, nor merely a test of endurance, but a commitment that, beyond dance, also pays tribute to the still-living crafts of our ancestors.
