History, memory and personal stories in 20th-century Transylvania

Meet writer Róbert Csaba Szabó, editor of the literary journal Látó and lecturer at the University of Arts in Târgu Mureș, as part of the 4th Professional Meeting of the KALOT Reading Clubs.

The conversation will focus on his latest novel, Pokoltó (2025), which explores historical trauma, memory and personal stories against the backdrop of 20th-century Transylvania. His earlier works, including Alakváltók and Fekete Dacia, will also be discussed.
