Traditional Horse Drawn Sleigh Ride

Glide through the fairytale winter landscape of the Gyimes hills in a horse-drawn sleigh and enjoy a wide view of the gorgeous scenery around! Our path for the sleigh ride goes through the forests and hills of the Gyimes Valley and none of those places visited during the tour are accessible by car, so it’s just you, horses and snow. There are some slower bits where you can enjoy the views and also some faster ones, where horses gallop and you need to hold tight to not to fall off the sledges on the turns. It’s so much fun! Our horses are local breds, used to mountain terrain, very friendly and patient, and look very cute. We also organize rides in the night which makes the experience really special.

The tours depart daily at 10:00, 14:00 and 18:00 (the evening tour) from the front of the church of Bükkhavaspataka (Poiana Fagului in Romanian) located in the village of Lunca de Jos, 50 km drive from Miercurea Ciuc.
