Apa Roșie (Red Water) healing springs

At the North exit of Băile Tuşnad, at a distance of 1.25 km from the city towards Miercurea Ciuc, there is a picturesque area with several mineral water springs and a stone column (mushroom), called Red Water.

The name Veresvíz (Red Water) comes from the red colour of limonite or the mineral mud that precipitates from the springs of mineral water.

The Veresvíz mineral water spring has been researched by drilling, smaller and larger. The probe made in 1979 had a depth of 751 m and the water temperature varied between 13-22 ° C.
