About
Sófalvi Sándor guided the school students to start an ethnographic collection in 1980. This work continues today, with the support of the school foundation.
In order to make the rich ethnographic material accessible to the public, a building was raised in the school’s courtyard. The museum follows the style of the peasant houses in the area, with a basement and a kitchen on the ground floor, and a room upstairs.
The collection of folk crafts of the Homorod-Mic area could be visited nearby: a shoemaker, a carpenter, a rotary, a blacksmith, with the tools of each craft. They also set the base of an agricultural machinery collection, which can be visited in the school garden: threshing machine, mill with grinding stone, wagons, agricultural tools.
The visit must be announced in advance.
