Shapovalov and the Ciuc Chamber Orchestra

The performance of the Ciuc Chamber Orchestra promises to be special, as the world-famous Russian cellist Denis Shapovalov is visiting our city again! Most of the works written for solo cello with string orchestra accompaniment were selected by the ensemble from the masterpieces of 19th-century Russian music literature, which are supplemented with 18th-century Italian music. The concertmaster of the evening will be Csaba Veress.

Denis Shapovalov is now one of the world's most famous cellists and a regular guest of Europe's leading orchestras. Born in 1974 in the town of Tchaikovsky, near the Urals, he graduated from the Tchaikovsky State Conservatoire in Moscow in 2000 and was later a cello teacher for twelve years.
