Torchlight skiing 2026

With joy and gratitude in our hearts, we warmly invite all Hungarian-minded ski lovers to join this year’s torchlight skiing on the occasion of our National Holiday. The March 15 Torchlight Ski has been a long-standing tradition on the Harghita Mădăraș/Madarasi Hargita, a spectacular and uplifting way to celebrate.

Program (below the terrace of Súgó Panzió):
18:45 – Torch distribution and lighting, bonfire
19:00 – Festive speech, recitation, anthems
19:30 – Line-up behind the Székely and Hungarian flags
19:35 – Torchlight ski led by mountain rescuers (route: Kicsi Súgó – Súgó – Csillagösvény)

We close with a bonfire, warm drinks, and a friendly gathering on the terrace. Torches are provided. In extreme weather, the program may change. Please ski carefully—this will be a coordinated, slow procession. Everyone is warmly welcome!
