From August 15–17, the 8th Pancake Festival returns to the heart of the Sóvidék region. Three days of fun, cultural shows, live music, kids’ activities – and of course, thousands of delicious pancakes!
Pancake aroma, joy and a strong community vibe in Felsősófalva/Ocna de Sus (3 km from Praid).
The Pancake Festival is not just a gastronomic celebration, but a true community event, bringing together locals, twin town delegations, and everyone who loves traditions, music – and pancakes!

The Pancake Festival is not just a gastronomic celebration, but a true community event, bringing together locals, twin town delegations, and everyone who loves traditions, music – and pancakes!
During the festival:
- thousands of fresh pancakes will be prepared with different flavors – based on donations,
- children’s activities (drawing competitions, fun archery) will be available,
- a pancake cooking contest with prizes for best taste, presentation, and speed,
- folk dance performances and live concerts every evening,
- and local civic groups and volunteer firefighters will also take part.
The goal of the festival is to strengthen relationships with twin towns and offer a memorable experience for all ages.
