March 15 Commemoration at Nyergestető

Let us bow our heads together in honor of the heroes of the 1848–49 Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence. Nyergestető is not only a historical site but also a symbol of loyalty and courage. Here, in one of the last battles in Szeklerland, the small troop of Major János Tuzson fought against the overwhelming Austrian and Russian forces, giving their lives for the freedom of our homeland in August 1849.
Let us remember together those who shed their blood for the homeland.
