The Father is a deeply personal, yet urgent social story, drawn with empathy and gentle humor, exploring the themes of family and aging. Florian Zeller's play The Father won the Molière Award for Best Play in 2014, one of the most prestigious awards in French theatre. Since its debut, it has been successfully performed in numerous countries around the world. The 2020 film adaptation of the play, which starred Anthony Hopkins, won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Actor.
