Celebration Concert

The Csik Chamber Orchestra and the Georgius Chamber Orchestra welcome the audience of the 15 March celebrations again this year! Their concert will feature a selection of hungarian music from the 19th and 20th Centuries, with works by Ferenc Erkel, Pongrác Kacsóh, Zoltán Kodály, Béla Bartók and Jenő Hubay.

The soloists of the evening will be László Nyári, Junior Prima Prize-winning violinist from Budapest, who will perform Bartók's first rhapsody, among others. Soprano Katalin Benedekffy and tenor Béla Gippert Turpinszky will perform popular arias and operetta parts. Conductor: Gábor Werner from Budapest, who is a frequent guest at the March Festival concerts. 

 

The evening is supported by the Mayor's Office of the City of Csíkszereda and the RMDSZ (Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania).
